This wine is made from 45% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Cabernet Franc.

The Picardy 2000 Merlot Cabernet has deep red berry fruit and a fine firm tannin structure, with supple sweet fruit characters. It is a bigger wine than the 1998 or the 1999. Drinkable now, but also the biggest Picardy Merlot Cabernet to date; this wine is destined to live longer than most of its makers. Bill and Dan feel that it is the best Picardy Merlot Cabernet so far.

This wine has developed beautifully but will still get better with some more time.
