![]() Welcome
Bill and Dan believe that the 2005 vintage is the best so far at Picardy. All the wines from this vintage are of truly exceptional quality. The 2005 vintage in Pemberton turned out to be an absolute beauty at Picardy with both red and white varieties doing particularly well. However it wasn’t a vintage without the odd glitch. A long moderate season provided gradual sugar and flavour accumulation giving well balanced wines with good tannin ripeness. Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz fared very well indeed. White varieties enjoyed excellent growing conditions too, beautifully evident in the 2005 Picardy Chardonnay. By season’s end Picardy had undoubtedly enjoyed its best vintage to date – the proof is in the bottles! Flavour concentration, colour and complexity came together in all the wines and the Pannells are delighted with the outcome across all their styles. ![]() Bill, Sandra, Jodie and Dan Pannell |
